Complicated relationships is pluggerville

Obviously this is problematic, Andy Bear who's best friend is a dog names Earl Houndstooth, also keeps a dog as a pet. Its pretty fucked. Unless this IS where Earl lives? Maybe he has fallen on hardtimes and can only afford this hovel? Time and again I come back to the horrors of animals keeping animals as pets. Like if Earl's wife (a chicken named Henrietta) were to cheat on him with Andy's pet dog is it more fucked than her just cheating on him?
